Chimper #1008
There's an old saying at The Dojo: 'The brightest flame casts the deepest shadow.' Mimisa, it seems, took this as a personal challenge to eliminate shadows entirely. While other trainees practiced katas until their limbs ached, Mimisa could be found obsessively polishing their guiding lanterns. Their focus was legendary, their intensity terrifying, but it was all directed at eradicating a single smudge from a pane of glass. During a moonless night-sparring test, their opponent, a highly-touted prodigy, charged. Mimisa, startled, simply raised their lantern in defense. The perfectly polished surface caught the moonlight, reflecting a beam of pure, blinding light that sent the prodigy tumbling backward into a weapon rack. They haven't won a match the same way since.
