Chikumi

Chikumi remembered Tora’s exact, unhelpful words: “The spell needs a focus, something utterly out of place.” So, deep within The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, Chikumi chose fish bait. The magic was meant to be a simple cloaking shimmer, but the bait was so profoundly misplaced that the spell collapsed. Instead of hiding Chikumi, it summoned a grumpy, knee-high crystal golem that imprinted on them immediately. The comedy of errors began when a passing Rock Wizard was "warned off" by a pebble hurled by the golem. Chikumi, mortified, waved their Panda Fan in panic, a gesture the wizard mistook for a masterful command. Word spread. These days, they are a revered Guardian, forever followed by a tiny, aggressive monolith. The fish bait stays because the golem gets anxious without the smell.
