Itsume

The fishers at the bottom of Waterfall City claim Itsume delivers missives for the dead. They see the glowing lantern cutting through the waterfall's spray, the demonic glint of their eyes behind the mask, and assume the scrolls they carry contain secrets meant only for ghosts. Itsume is a shadow moving between the riverside huts and the pale stone temple, their combat pole a silent promise. They were inspired by tales of the wanderer Yukimura, embracing a life of solemn, feared duty. But for all their whispering, the fishers miss the truth. The scrolls are always empty. The only message Itsume ever delivers is their own arrival.
