Chimper #1184
The fishers of Waterfall City will tell you Matsumi’s war paint is a fearsome tally of defeated foes. They're only half right. Each morning, their younger sibling Chihina dips a finger in berry juice and adds a fresh mark—a promise to look out for each other for one more day. Matsumi’s unamused expression rarely falters behind the Kitsune mask, but Chihina knows the quiet way they wield their panda fan is a language all its own. To the city, they are a silent, imposing guardian patrolling the upper tiers. To Chihina, they are simply the one who holds their hand on the slickest parts of the stone stairs. That ancient sabre they carry? It's mostly for slicing fruit to share by the water’s edge.
