Chimper #1379
The choc stick Mizore always carries isn't for eating. It was a gift from their master, Iseri, on the first day of their apprenticeship in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria. While other trainees learned to read the hum of the spinning monoliths, Iseri taught Mizore to listen to silence. The stick, made of compressed dream-dust and powdered shadow-quartz, is a focus. It doesn't channel magic; it absorbs it, quieting the ambient power so Mizore can perceive the gaps between energies. Iseri calls it 'negative magic'โthe art of understanding what isn't there. The other wizards see a sweet-natured trainee with a charming habit. They don't see the patterns of void Mizore traces in the air, or question why their lessons happen only after the famous sunsets fade.
