Every morning, Somemi polishes their azure visor until it gleams, straightens their meow cap, and heads to the main plaza in Waterfall City to attempt diplomatic relations with the local cats. The fishers will tell you it’s the funniest thing they see all day; Somemi approaches with the gravity of a warrior facing an emperor, offering a sliced fish and a series of earnest, yet terrible, meows. Their partner, Ginrou, claims Somemi is convinced the Mystic Cats guard ancient secrets to a hidden, all-you-can-eat dango shop. The city guards just laugh. They have a running wager on whether Somemi will learn the cats' 'ancient wisdom' before realizing they just want the fish, no conversation required.
