Katsuhide

Katsuhide was a culinary historian. The whole misunderstanding started in the lower markets of Waterfall City when a merchant sold them a massive blade, calling it the “Great River Serpent Slicer.” Katsuhide, assuming it was for filleting giant fish for a legendary broth, paid handsomely. However, a scholar with a wise beard carrying a dragonslayer’s weapon created a powerful impression. Soon, a frantic chimp begged for help with a territorial water spirit. Thinking it a metaphor for a stubborn dough, Katsuhide advised, “Firm, rhythmic pressure will make anything yield.” The chimp promptly scared the spirit off by slapping the water with a paddle. Word spread. The Azure Visor was a gift from a grateful village, and their ramen hat was hailed as a quirky trophy. Katsuhide just wanted to perfect a noodle recipe.
