Chimper #1647
The noodle vendors in The Great Panda City will tell you that Efumi’s patrol partner, a stoic guard named Kenjiro, does all the actual work. They see Kenjiro marching, disciplined and alert, while Efumi is often spotted balancing on a bamboo fence, trying to catch falling cherry blossoms with their whiskers. What the vendors don't see is how Efumi’s chaotic playfulness is a form of patrol all its own. When a pickpocket vanished into a crowd, Kenjiro’s formal search failed. But Efumi, in a game of chase with a street cat, sent a cart of dumplings rolling that perfectly intercepted the thief. Kenjiro insists it was the lucky plant on Efumi's head, not skill. Efumi just winks and asks if they want to race to the river.
