Chimper #166
The courtiers of The Teikodian Empire call them the Sullen, a name born from the fact that Masahisa’s wide, unwavering grin is so out of place it can only be interpreted as mockery. They see the cracks in the gold-leafed walls and the dust on the gemstones, and they just… smile. While others are dazzled by imperial pageantry, Masahisa’s ‘KO’ eyes seem to dismiss it all. This clarity once allowed them to walk straight through a grand illusion woven by Sakkaku, seeing only the lonely chimper behind the phantom dragons. They wander the capital with a silly duck hat, fixing gates and weaving baskets from the bamboo on their back, utterly content. The nobles see a bleak spirit; they fail to realize Masahisa isn’t sullen, they’re free.
