Chimper #1993
There’s a saying among the lost souls of The Underworld: 'The best guide is the one who never wanted the job.' Hideshi proves this true with every weary step. They had no ambition for glory or discovery, only a quiet talent for seeing the path through the crimson glow and unnatural snowfall. That was enough to get them noticed. Then it was enough to get them assigned. The final straw was Mitsume, an eager student who appeared with stars in their eyes, convinced Hideshi was some legendary pathfinder. Hideshi tried to send them away, but Mitsume’s persistence was more dangerous than any beast in the lava pools. Now, Hideshi teaches through grunts and pointed glares, a reluctant master showing their pupil how to survive a world they wish they’d never had to enter.
