Chimper #2030
Mitsutoshi did not choose The Underworld, and they certainly didn't choose the quiet, gut-wrenching work that comes with being a shadow here. The golden code they live by feels like a cruel joke against the crimson sky; honor doesn't disarm traps in lava pools or silence the whispers from the ash-choked plains. For that, there is only stealth and a shared, grim understanding with their partner, Kunijuurou. They move through the depths on missions no one will ever celebrate. The glowing lantern is Mitsutoshi's small rebellion. Kunijuurou calls it a liability, a beacon for every cultist. But Mitsutoshi needs itโa reminder of a sun they can barely remember. Each mission leaves them more exhausted, the weight of their duty settling deep behind their eyes.
