Chimper #2056
The faint, sweet smell of fermenting berries underfoot reminds Hitoyoshi of a simpler time. Before the suit, before the scars, before the squinting. They were once celebrated in The Heart of the Forest for their exquisite paintings of moss. Their life was one of quiet harmony and appreciating the subtle shades of green. That ended the day a fast-talking squirrel convinced them to trade their entire art collection for a single, โmagicalโ acorn that would supposedly grant the power of flight. It did not. It was just a regular acorn. The subsequent fall from a very tall tree was both humbling and scarring. Hitoyoshi now wears a stiff Generalโs suit and patrols the glade with intense suspicion, certain that every rustle of leaves is another acorn-based conspiracy.
