Chimper #2399
Kazumichi's bucket hat is laughably useless against the howling winds and constant rain. It was a gift from another explorer, someone who mapped stars while Kazumichi chased fireflies. They said it suited a sunny disposition. When their partner was conscripted to chart forgotten paths in The Dragon Wastelands, Kazumichi followed, offering only a grin and a promise to find the brightest flowers in the bleakest of places. Now, amidst the scorched plateaus and skeletal remains, they still wear the hat. It does little to keep them dry, but when their partner looks up from a grim map, covered in mud and doubt, they see that ridiculous hat and remember what it feels like to be warm.
