Chimper #2452
In Armaria, they say the most flawed crystal casts the most interesting light. Kazusa once believed this was a simple metaphor for their painting, a craft that celebrated the subtle cracks in ancient pottery. That was before a surge from a neighboring wizard's experiment shattered their studio, leaving them with a web of scars and a chimpborg eye that whirred with every blink. They were declared an impurity, an outcast from the grand fortress where magic and flesh were never meant to mix. On the lower slopes of The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, they discovered their new eye saw what others could not: the faint, dormant light trapped in dull, discarded geodes. Children bring them ugly rocks now, and with a gentle tap, Kazusa reveals the starfields hidden inside.
