Chimper #2677
The tea merchants in The Great Panda City claim Noburu's combat pole has been used more often to knock ripe plums from high branches than to strike an opponent. They whisper of the time two border-wardens from the Panda Council had their fists clenched, pride and protocol on a collision course. Noburu, with a lazy side smile, didn't draw a weapon. Instead, they composed a short, silly verse about two grumpy clouds arguing over who got to rain first. The absurdity broke the tension, and the wardens walked away laughing. They often sit with the famed minstrel Shijin by the cherry blossom trees, not to spar, but to share words. One carries a flute, the other a staff; both understand that the right note can disarm more effectively than any blade.
