Koruri

The rock wizards who study the shimmering monoliths claim Koruri isn't an explorer, just a happy accident that keeps happening. They joined the legendary Shimo on an expedition to the highest peaks, mostly because the colorful rocks were fun to slide down. When a magical frost descended, trapping the party, the serious chimps prepared for the worst. Shimo entered a deep trance to endure the cold. Koruri, however, got bored. They used their poncho as a makeshift sled, careening down a crystal slope with Giga Chimped glee. They crashed into a hidden crevice, accidentally discovering a geothermal vent that saved everyone. They returned to the camp, wings askew and face sticky with strawberry milk, having no idea they'd done anything important.
