Chimper #2891
When the last of the great spinning monoliths cracked, Kiugetsu was holding another’s hand. They had come to The Crystal Highlands of Armaria following whispers of impossible sunsets, but stayed for the quiet scholar who could name every crystal by its hum. Together, they learned the rhythm of the rains that swept across the fortress walls, a private language spoken in drips and downpours. The scholar promised to show Kiugetsu how to map the future in the water pools, but the monolith’s fall was a future no one had read. Now the rain is the only companion Kiugetsu keeps. It follows them everywhere, a constant, gentle drizzle that feels less like weather and more like the ghost of a shared promise.
