Chimper #2908
Masomi was once a student of the Rock Wizards, tasked with learning to read the future in the facets of the great, spinning monoliths. They spent years memorizing how the sunset's light refracted through the magical stones, their mind a web of complex equations and temporal probabilities. But the future they saw was always grim, heavy, and exhausting. One day, a visiting merchant shared a simple bowl of ramen with them. In that warm, savory broth, Masomi found a clarity no crystal had ever offered: joy was not a variable to be calculated. They traded their star-charts for a fishing rod and their title for a silly hat. They still live in the highlands, but these days, Masomi doesn't study the sky. They watch their bobber dance on a quiet stream, perfectly content to let the future surprise them.
