Mutsue

Mutsue is the only being in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria who has ever tried to eat a monolith. The wizards here track arcane convergences; Mutsue tracks which fuzzy mosses taste best when toasted. They arrived with the beast slayer Yuki, hired to endure the unnatural cold seeping from the fortress walls. While the mages debated elemental theory, Mutsue discovered that a specific type of glowing rock could perfectly boil water for ramen, a practical magic the scholars had ignored for centuries. The scientists see a distraction with a cake on their head. Yuki, however, sees a different kind of survivor, one grounded by the simple, vital truth of a warm meal against the freezing wind. Mutsue has learned no spells, but they can tell you which crystal hums a sleepy tune.
