Kotobuki

Kotobuki is the fastest messenger in the realms. The scientists of The Crystal Highlands of Armaria see only the white gleam of the Lightspeed Suit, a blur of energy that delivers sensitive data before the ink is dry. They find the carved cane a strange accessory for someone so advanced, a relic clashing with their purpose. To them, Kotobuki is pure efficiency, wrapped in an annoyingly playful grin. The Panda Council, however, tells tales of a humble wanderer who approaches their mountain outpost on foot, leaning heavily on a cane. They share a cup of tea, exchange pleasantries, and only after the traveler has departed do they find the urgent message left silently on the table. Both accounts are true. The suit moves the body, but the cane, Kotobuki once explained, keeps their soul from scattering across the realms at such impossible speeds.
