Chimper #312
Asasuke was once the most sought-after ceremonial painter in The Teikodian Empire. Their mistake was not a lack of skill, but an excess of artistic vision. Tasked with decorating the Emperor's prized koi for a festival, Asasuke painted them with such ferocious war markings that a visiting Panda Council diplomat mistook the fish for assassins and fled in terror. The diplomatic fallout wasโฆ considerable. Exiled from the palace, Asasuke now seeks redemption by offering their services to the common folk. They wield their trusty apple stick not as a weapon, but as a brush for applying โintimidatingโ faces to everything from grumpy merchants to garden statues. Though their eyes remain permanently unamused, their work is always punctuated by dramatic, shouted critiques of their own brushstrokes.
