Chimper #3390
Mikena coaxed a thread of fire from their palm, watching it twist like a glowing serpent in the twilight. Across the flowery field, their sibling Sasayuki held up a delicate paper lantern, its sides painted with tiny dragons. "Careful," Sasayuki whispered, a smile in their voice. "Don't singe the wings this time." This was their favorite game, a test of precision played across the floating landscapes of The Fluorescent Isles. With intense focus, Mikena flicked their wrist. The fire-serpent zipped through the air, slipped inside the lantern's opening, kissed the wick, and vanished. The paper glowed with a warm, steady light, perfectly unharmed. As it floated up to join the stars, Sasayuki gave them a gentle nudge. "Perfect, as always."
