Chimper #3549
Mamiji is a study in stillness. They move through The Great Panda City with a deliberation that makes the cold mountain winds seem frantic by comparison. Their sibling, Kanayoshi, remembers a different time: a blur of motion, of reckless challenges shouted across bamboo groves, of two young chimps who thought every border was a dare. That ended the day Mamiji’s impatience led them both into a skirmish they weren't ready for. The poker face they wear now was forged in the terrible silence that followed, a mask to hold back the torrent of guilt and fear. These days, the shades hide more than their eyes, and the carved cane in their grip is less for balance and more for a constant, grounding pressure. Every measured step is a quiet apology.
