Chimper #371
Kazuka remembered the savory scent of shoyu ramen, a perfect spiral of steam just before it became a humiliating halo. The goal had been simple: impress a visiting member of the Panda Council with a flawless pole-fighting demonstration on the streets of The Great Panda City. Their rival, Hashine, was watching, of course, their expression a mask of polite boredom. Kazuka began the sequence, spun their combat pole, and snagged it on a low-hanging cherry blossom branch. The jolt sent them stumbling backward into a food stall, launching the chef's prize bowl into the air. It landed perfectly, upside down, on Kazuka's head. Hashine didn't laugh; they just sighed. That weary sigh fuels Kazuka more than any insult ever could.
