Takasaburou is the quietest student in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria. Their sparring partners will tell you they have never heard Takasaburou raise their voice, not even when a focusing spell goes awry. The gemcutter who sells them focusing stones says they only ever point, their payment already neatly counted out. But the senior wizards see the truth. They pore over the scrolls Takasaburou submits: notes filled with celestial alignments trying to predict the resonance of the great monoliths, theories that border on heresy. They see the ambition not in their voice, but in the questions they dare to ask on paper. A blush can hide many things, but it cannot hide a mind reaching for the stars.
