Chimper #3948
When the first amber leaf of the season fell, Konari’s rivalry with another merchant, Suzu, officially began. In the heart of The Heart of the Forest, their stalls faced off like dueling masters. Konari, in their oddly formal shirt and tie, would use their katana to artfully slice fruit for customers, a display of useless but captivating precision. Suzu would counter with songs that seemed to coax sweeter nectar from the flowers they sold. The playful feud was the town’s favourite entertainment until a flash flood threatened the annual feast. Without discussion, they combined their resources, their skills in persuasion finally aimed at a common goal. They saved the feast. Their stalls still face each other, but now there’s an unspoken truth: the only thing they enjoy more than beating their rival is seeing them succeed.
