Tatehiko remembered the vision from Namazu clearly: a great ripple that would shake the very foundation of the Teikodian Empire. Taking this dire warning to heart, they rushed to the imperial gardens to perform a grounding ritual by the sacred koi pond. The ceremony required a perfectly smooth focus stone, which they held aloft. At that precise moment, a particularly plump dragonfly decided to land on their nose. They flinched. The stone slipped. It landed with a gentle *plonk* on the head of the Emperor’s favorite fish. In a panic, Tatehiko tried to levitate the stone out, but the pond’s enchanted water amplified their geomancy. A geyser erupted, launching the stone, the dazed koi, and a torrent of pond scum directly onto a passing diplomat. The stone arced gracefully before returning to knock Tatehiko clean out. The only foundation shaken that day was their own.
