Chimper #4047
The Lantern Lighter of the Dojo's darkest pools was known for a peculiar game. Each evening, Mirisa would release one of their guiding lights over the training lake, letting it dance on the water's surface just out of reach, laughing as the younger students tried to catch it. They claimed it was a game to teach control over the currents. The truth was a heavier burden. They were once a deep-water navigator, until a rogue wave claimed their partner and left a permanent scar across their face. They came to The Dojo after hearing a tale that Kaito, the Oceanโs Chosen, could speak through its sacred waters. So the game continues, a playful ritual masking a desperate vigil. Mirisa sends a single light out, a beacon and a prayer, hoping a spirit who became one with the sea will see it and guide them to the one they lost.
