Shunmi’s glowing lantern is a common sight in the markets of The Great Panda City, but their gaze is always fixed on what lies beneath the streets. They came to the mountain city as a simple wanderer, content with an apple stick for a weapon and a roasted marshmallow for a meal. Then they met a cartographer, a frantic soul obsessed with mapping the forgotten foundations of the city. The cartographer had the knowledge, but not the nerve to face the things that dwelled in the chasms below. Shunmi, quiet and grounded, simply nodded and returned the next day, lantern lit. They have been partners ever since. One draws the maps of the deep, and the other ensures they both live to see the surface again.
