Taishirou

Taishirou was the first resident of Waterfall City, present long before the first stone was laid. Legends claim they were once a spirit of the mist, given form by the sheer will of the river. In those ancient days, their eyes were clear, reflecting the endless cascade. That changed when a monstrous, ancient fish spirit rose from the depths to reclaim the falls. The battle was titanic, its force nearly undoing the mountain itself. Taishirou cast the beast back into the abyss, but the sight of its raw, chaotic power seared their vision shut forever. They carry a fishing rod not to catch, but to listen to the water's memory. The bowler hat is simply a way to blend in with the descendants they chose to save.
