Chimper #4217
Torinosuke cast their line into the frozen lake, the lure splashing softly near The Dojo's far shore. Other chimps were sparring, their shouts echoing in the cold air, but this was Torinosuke's training. Their grin never faded, but their amethyst eyes saw something else entirely in the ripples: a shifting, demonic mask, a flicker of Shinpi's terrifying presence. Master Chimpo taught that true power came from focus. While others found it in swordplay, Torinosuke found it in the perfect noodle broth and the patient wait for a fish. To overcome a being of pure fear, one couldn't just match its rage. A tug on the line broke the vision. They reeled it in, humming. The fish was small, but it would be perfect for tonight's dashi.
