Tajomaru

In the Crystal Highlands, some believe the monoliths that spin above the midnight-dark fortress hum with forgotten magic. Tajomaru, however, insists they just make a really good echo. Their training partner, a grim chimp named Kage who seems woven from shadows, disagrees about everything. During their lessons, it’s Tajomaru’s disarming smile and gleeful chatter that draws an instructor's eye, letting Kage slip past unseen to complete the objective. Kage provides the discipline for their stealth missions; Tajomaru provides the chaos. One retrieves the enchanted artifact from the training grounds, and the other remembers to bring strawberry milk for the walk home. To everyone's surprise, especially Kage's, the partnership is flawless.
