Chimper #4581
Every morning, Hitachinosuke climbs the wet stone stairs to the upper city, past the pale temple that sits half on land, half on the rushing water. They were once a wanderer, guided by the deep hum of the chakra stone on their back and dreams sent by Namazu of rivers that fell from the sky. They came to this city seeking the source of that vision, but found instead a chimp whose laughter was louder than the falls, one who sold fishing tackle at the base of the cascade. That chimp taught them how to read the currents, and Hitachinosuke taught them how a stone can find a home in a riverbed. Now, their journey is no longer measured in miles, but in the short walk to meet their partner by the great stone fish in the plaza.
