Ereina

Ereina is the most respected mystic in Waterfall City. This reputation is built entirely on a single, glorious misunderstanding. Years ago, tasked with their first public divination, they predicted a terrible drought by misreading the river's foam. Instead, the city experienced its largest fish migration in a century. The elders declared Ereina's power so great it had transformed disaster into bounty. Their sibling, Hiai, who was there and saw them trip over the divining stones, knows the truth. Ereina has maintained a serene front ever since, offering vague wisdom that others find profound. The sword on their back is a comfort, a skill they actually possess. Their permanently shocked mouth is the only hint of their constant amazement that nobody has figured it out.
