A psychic wound from the encounter, they claim, which explains the perpetually shocked expression. They see the red panda mask and pink visor as the disguise of a traumatized, but deadly, survivor. Rikirou, if ever asked, would clarify. Uragirimono gave them a 'shortcut' to the annual pie festival, which led directly into a marsh. The scars are purely emotional. The stick was a souvenir from the one apple tree they found on the way back, and the shocked expression is permanent disbelief that they missed the blue-ribbon raspberry tart.
