Sanetomi

Sanetomi's fishing rod is carved from a single piece of amber-wood, supposedly blessed to attract only the wisest of fish. For three seasons, they have stalked the same bend in the river in The Heart of the Forest, utterly determined to land the legendary 'Giggle-Fin Carp,' a fish said to impart perfect comedic timing to its catcher. They wear the red dragon robe because they read once that carp are descended from dragons and respect the gesture. The mask is to hide their intense concentration, which they fear might scare the notoriously shy fish. The locals don't have the heart to tell them the Giggle-Fin was a story made up to amuse children; Sanetomi's daily, dramatic near-misses are far too entertaining.
