Renaru

They called Renaru 'The Relic' in the training yards of The Great Panda City. It was the mutton chops, the simple haori worn instead of armor, and the Giga Chimped glint in their eyes that suggested they were always three seconds from telling a bad joke. While other aspirants practiced grim-faced katas against the freezing winds, Renaru would be seen balancing on bamboo stalks, treating the serious business of becoming a warrior like a game. The trainers for the Panda Council saw a lack of discipline. Then came the trial of the Whispering Reeds. The serious warriors crashed through, loud and predictable. Renaru moved like the wind, using their haori as a decoy and the swaying bamboo to mask their steps. They finished before anyone knew they had begun. Nobody laughs at the mutton chops anymore.
