Chimper #486
Is it really a tragedy if it’s mostly just embarrassing? That’s the question haunting Katsutoshi, who shares a lesser, though deeply inconvenient, version of Andeddo’s curse. They weren’t banished after a duel; they merely tripped into a cursed spring while looking for a rare mushroom. Now they wander The Heart of the Forest, a place obsessed with food, unable to taste a thing. Their high-tech visor isn’t for spotting enemies; it’s for scanning the ground for loose roots that might dislodge a foot. The locals are terribly nice about it all, always offering to reattach a limb that’s fallen off mid-song. Katsutoshi just wanted to be an explorer, but it’s hard to look intrepid when you have to pack spare parts.
