Yoshimiko

The guards at the Teikodian Empire's main gate will tell you Yoshimiko is the smoothest operator in the capital. They swear the undead trainee once strolled up to the Sunstone Checkpoint, looked the notoriously grim captain in the eye, and got through with a single, cryptic phrase. What actually happened was that Yoshimiko, having forgotten their trainee pass again, was on the verge of collapsing from sheer panic. When the captain demanded their papers, Yoshimiko’s mind went blank and they stammered, “The… the golden carp needs a bicycle. Urgently.” The captain stared, blinked, then waved them through, too confused to argue with what must be a high-level imperial code. Yoshimiko spent the next hour hyperventilating behind a statue, completely unaware they'd just become a legend.
