Okuso

Okuso was a sentinel for the great fortress in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria. The gold bushidō marking on their face was a symbol of unwavering loyalty, earned by guarding a powerful wizard's research into the monoliths. But loyalty has its limits. When the wizard's experiments twisted from protection to something that could weaponize the land itself, Okuso refused the final order. The duel that followed was short and brutal, leaving their charge unconscious and their own vows shattered. They fled that night with nothing but a crimson cap pulled low over their eyes. It's a flimsy disguise against the wizards who hunt them, but it helps them forget the glow of the magic they once swore to protect.
