Kuriru

In The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, they say ‘a bright idea can’t fix a clumsy foot.’ Kuriru is living proof. Tasked with the simple honor of polishing the sacred sconces at Hogo-sha's shrine, they decided to ‘optimize’ the lighting with an untested, highly reflective crystal. The resulting beam of concentrated sunlight set the shrine’s ceremonial banner on fire. After the smoke cleared, the elders offered a unique path to redemption: Kuriru would become the new light. The glowing lantern now affixed to their head is their eternal penance. They wander the mountain paths, guiding lost pilgrims with a perpetually surprised expression. Their service is flawless, but they still occasionally trip on their own feet in broad daylight.
