Emayu

Emayu has never once caught a fish. For years, they have sat on the lower docks of Waterfall City, their line dangling in the rushing currents while others pull up silver-scaled catches. Friends used to offer advice, suggesting new bait or better spots upstream near the main plaza, but Emayu would just offer that same peaceful grin and shake their head. The truth is, they aren't fishing for food. They are fishing for stories. Their hook snags lost treasures: a child’s wooden boat, a merchant's lucky coin, a string of river-pearls a young couple thought was gone forever.
