One is Kanade, who will offer a piece of perfectly prepared sushi from their headgear with an unshakable grin. The other is a grim rock-shaper who scoffs at the offering but grudgingly points the right way. They met when Kanade, seeking exotic flavors, tried to season a magical monolith, mistaking it for a giant salt deposit. The local was so appalled by this sacrilege they decided to personally escort the clueless explorer. Their partnership remains a mystery to all, but the deal is simple: Kanade shares their food, and their companion ensures they don't wander into a temporal fissure.
