Their ever-present cat companion, sensing the opportunity, tried to absorb the power, but the sleeping scholar acted as a perfect, blissfully unaware conduit. Morijirou awoke with a faint inner hum and the ability to make scrolls float with a thought. They are now hailed as an awakened prodigy, a reputation they find both hilarious and terrifying. Only their cat knows the truth, and its smirk has deepened.
