Chimper #66
Bitoku the Recaller remembers everything. Their partner, a perpetually damp and anxious frog they work with, remembers almost nothing. They met in the bustling lower districts of Waterfall City, where the frog had forgotten which side of a smuggling deal they were supposed to be on. Bitoku, amused, stepped in and recited the entire negotiation from a week prior, saving the frog from a nasty fall into the rapids. They have been inseparable since. Bitoku remembers the maps, the faces of old rivals, and the location of every loose stone on the stairs to the upper city. The frog can smell a coming storm and find edible fungi in the darkest crevices. It’s a partnership that should not work, yet they thrive, much to the confusion of everyone who watches them bicker good-naturedly in the plaza.
