Chimper #776
The chief nuisance of the gilded halls, Moichigo, inherited a cane meant for solemn contemplation. Carved from a pale tree branch, it was supposed to be a somber reminder of the shadows beneath The Teikodian Empire. In Moichigo's hands, however, it is a tool of pure mischief. They found it perfect for hooking scrolls off high shelves and gently prodding courtiers who took themselves too seriously. The frog patch over their eye is the result of a misjudged cane-vault over a palace pond, an incident they recount with a grin. While others discuss strategy, they use the cane's tip to trace patterns on dusty windows. Just last week, a diplomat saw them use it to retrieve a dropped mochi from under a general's chair.
