Chimper #84
Yoshizaburou could track a target for three days without food, yet they believed a poorly seasoned broth was a greater crime than treason. This contradiction was forged in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, on a thankless mission guarding Kinu, a culinary alchemist who sought glowing minerals not for spells, but for soup. Yoshizaburou saw attack vectors; Kinu saw a chance to harvest umami-rich rock salt. They spent weeks arguing, with Yoshizaburouโs cold logic clashing against Kinuโs insistence that perfect noodles could solve any problem. Then a rival mage attacked. Yoshizaburou fought with chilling precision, and when it was over, Kinu offered them a steaming bowl. The flavor was illogical, inefficient, and utterly disarming. Kinu made them the ramen hat as a joke. Yoshizaburou has never taken it off.
