Chimper #853
Sajuurou remembered the distinct clang of a dropped helmet, followed by the muffled snort of their best friend, Naoshirou. They were supposed to be practicing a ferocious battle cry in the gilded training halls of The Teikodian Empire, but Sajuurou had gotten tangled in their own layered robes and tipped over a decorative suit of armor. The resulting scar on their chin was, they insisted, a war wound. Naoshirou called it 'The Great Stand-Still Catastrophe.' Ever since they were kids, Naoshirou was the natural warrior, while Sajuurou was the one who could trip on a perfectly flat surface. Yet, they remain inseparable, with Sajuurou accumulating a collection of 'battle scars' from culinary mishaps and unfortunate encounters with low-hanging lanterns. Other trainees whisper about their supposed ferocity, a reputation Naoshirou finds far too amusing to ever correct.
