Chimper #1207
The Wanderer with the perfect roasting stick was known less for their travels and more for their constant state of surprise. Orufe explored the wilder, greener edges of the forest, convinced tranquility was a story told by those who had never seen what lay beyond the amber-leaved clearings. The scorching embers on their back were a restless hum, a reason to always keep moving. Then they tripped, landing in a pile of leaves at the feet of a musician tuning a flute. The musician wasn't startled; they simply helped Orufe up and offered to share their dinner. For the first time, Orufe stayed in one place long enough to see the seasons change. The embers no longer burn to push them onward; they glow with the warmth of a shared hearth.
