In The Heart of the Forest, even overwhelming power learns a certain kind of humility. This is a lesson Mitsunobu learns daily, usually the hard way. They arrived with an ancient katana and eyes that pulsed with transcendent energy, a warrior whose power was whispered to rival that of the demon Shinpi. Their first week, they tried to heroically clear a fallen log and accidentally vaporized the town’s main bridge. Then, attempting to demonstrate a fearsome battle roar, they let out a sneeze so potent it shook every berry from the bushes for miles. The locals, far from being terrified, simply handed them a basket and thanked them for helping with the harvest. These days, their legendary blade is used mostly for slicing festival cakes, very carefully.
